Robert Joseph

A native of Scotland, Robert moved with his family to North Carolina in 2002. Initially Robert helped coach the Eno River Women’s Rugby team. In November 2003, disappointed with the lack of youth rugby in the Triangle area, Robert helped with a rugby demonstration as part of International Day at East Chapel Hill High School. After seeing a strong interest in a rugby team at the high school, Robert helped the establishment of the Highlanders Rugby Club. Robert is a forward coach and specializes in line outs. Robert is also the President of Highlanders Youth Rugby.

Jason Niemiller

Jason has played rugby since 17. He’s played at Bowling Green State University in Ohio and for various clubs in Ohio and North Carolina. He has also been on several tours and training sessions in the United Kingdom. Currently, he serves as the Vice President for the Clayton Bootleggers RFC.

Jason has been involved in coaching youth rugby since 2012. He currently coaches the forwards with the Chapel Hill Highlanders U19 team.

Adrian Laros

Adrian has rugby in his blood coming from South Africa applying his trade at a loose forward, predominately as 8th man. Adrian played rugby throughout his schooling career and went on to play for one of if not the top club in Cape Town (Villagers) for over a decade as well as playing semi-professional rugby in France. Adrian has also been coaching rugby since 1984, coaching high school teams as well as being the assistant coach of the men’s team at Life University in Atlanta, USA for 5 years.

Richard Jordan

Richard has been playing or involved with rugby since the age of 8. After his playing days (as loosehead or tighthead prop) at school, college, army and club level in his native England, and in France, he became more of a fan than a player as the England team got better. He  moved to the USA and got involved again when his son started playing rugby and later joined the Highlanders U-15 team in 2007. Richard is in his fourth year of coaching with the Highlanders, and coaches the forwards. He also served on the Highlanders Board from 2011 to 2018.
